Southport Offshore Rescue Trust has presented a framed picture to the Southport Masonic Group in appreciation of donations made by Freemasons towards the new £ 135,000.00 Lifeboat. To date these have totalled £ 6,500 from several Masonic sources including the Southport Masonic Group, individual Lodges and the West Lancashire Freemasons' Charity.

Alan to be a First Principal again
E. Comp. Alan Byers, who recently retired after seven years as Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals is to serve as a First Principal again.
Alan was elected last September to serve as First Principal of the Silver Jubilee Chapter of Installed First Principals No 8818 at a meeting attended by the Deputy Grand Superintendent, Steven Reid (pictured below). He will be Installed on 21st May in the presence of The Third Provincial Grand Principal, E. Comp. the Rev. Harry E. Ross.
This will be the fourth occasion on which Alan has been Installed as a First Principal. The first was in his mother Chapter, Westhoughton Chapter No 4215 and he has also served as First Principal in Setantia Chapter of Installed First Principals and the Provincial Stewards' Chapter.
